20 Citizens Detained After Rally Conclusion
Twenty citizens were detained shortly after the rally at Freedom Square. This was reported to NEWS.am by the Public Relations Department of the Police of Armenia.
Administrative protocols were drawn up against the citizens under Article 182.5 (violating the rules in effect during a state of martial law).
It should be noted that at Freedom Square, when the small rally following the march demanding Nikol Pashinyan's resignation had already ended, police officers forcibly detained citizens who were preparing to go home.
Police announced via a loudspeaker that the gathering was illegal and that people needed to leave the area; otherwise, coercive measures would be applied.
