Two Dead and One Injured in Russian Helicopter Incident, Injured Transported to Military Unit N
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia has provided new details regarding the incident of a Russian helicopter being shot down in the territory of Armenia. On November 9, at 18:39, the crisis management center of the Ararat region received a report that a Russian helicopter had fallen and caught fire in a gorge on the section of road between the village of Yeraskh and the village of Paruyr Sevak.
Emergency response teams from the regional rescue department and three firefighting units were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the Russian Mi-24 helicopter had crashed in the right-hand field area of the 2-kilometer mark of the Yeraskh-Paruyr Sevak road and caught fire. According to preliminary information, there are two fatalities and one injured; the latter has been transported to Military Unit N. The fire was contained at 19:48 and extinguished by 20:11, reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.
