If an Azerbaijani Captured Soldier is Operated on in Artsakh, Armenian Prisoners are Brutally Killed: Hayrapetyan

During a closed session of the Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly's "Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons," the aggressions unleashed by Azerbaijan and Turkey and the ensuing situation in the region were discussed. The session included a member of the Armenian delegation, MP Tatevik Hayrapetyan from the 'My Step' faction, who also delivered a speech.

"I clearly emphasized that the Azerbaijani side admits it started aggression against the population of Nagorno-Karabakh early on the morning of September 27. Aliyev himself admitted days ago that Turkish F16s are in Azerbaijan, and the presence of terrorists has been reported by both international media and at least two member countries of the UN Security Council. Furthermore, Azerbaijan has not managed to maintain the humanitarian ceasefire agreement reached in Moscow under Turkey's pressure, thereby demonstrating its disrespect for its own corpses.

I stressed that war is brutal, but even in war, there are laws. For example, while an Azerbaijani captured soldier is being operated on in Artsakh, Armenian captives are being brutally murdered. This is the true face of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan targets the civilian population, local and international journalists, strikes churches, and poses a risk of turning the region into a new center of terrorism. Given that a large portion of the peaceful population of Artsakh has become refugees or internally displaced due to the Azerbaijani aggression in recent days, this committee has much to say about preventing humanitarian disaster in the South Caucasus," informed MP Tatevik Hayrapetyan from the 'My Step' faction.
