Approximately 670 Unexploded Ordinances Found in Stepanakert
Approximately 670 unexploded munitions have been discovered in Stepanakert, as stated by Mekhak Arzumanyan, the head of the Emergency Situations Department of the Artsakh Republic, during a briefing with journalists.
“Not only Stepanakert, but all regions have been subjected to shelling. We have found munitions on almost every street in Stepanakert, but at this point, it can be said that 90 percent of them are safe,” Arzumanyan noted, adding that work will intensify in other communities after the cessation of hostilities.
Arzumanyan reminded that citizens are reporting unexploded ordnance located near their homes to the emergency services via a round-the-clock hotline. The level of awareness among the public is high, and no unfortunate incidents have occurred due to unawareness during this time.
