Invitation Held, Political Forces Expressed Their Opinions: Sharmazanov

This is a historic and important period for our country, and we should not proceed with the internal political agenda. This was stated today by former Republican Party MP Eduard Sharmazanov during a conversation with journalists in front of the Government, while discussing the meeting between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and extra-parliamentary forces.

“An invitation has been held, the political forces have expressed their opinions; I cannot provide more information than that,” he said.

When asked if the opinions of political forces and the Prime Minister coincided regarding the Artsakh issue, he responded that one should ask the authorities about the overlaps, while the opposition has clearly stated that Artsakh will not be part of Azerbaijan.

In his view, everything must be done to ensure that the ceasefire decision is implemented.

When asked if the Artsakh issue was discussed with former President Serzh Sargsyan, Sharmazanov replied, “If I am here today, it means an intra-party discussion has taken place; I did not come here unilaterally.”
