Ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh Will Not Replace Final Resolution of the Issue, Turkish Foreign Ministry
The ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh will not replace a final resolution to the issue. This was stated by the Turkish Foreign Ministry in relation to the agreement on ceasefire between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which came into effect today at 12:00 PM.
According to TASS news agency, the ministry's statement emphasized, "The declared ceasefire is an important first step in regulating the situation, but it will not replace a final resolution of the issue." The Turkish Foreign Ministry added that "Turkey will support any decisions agreed upon by Azerbaijan." The statement further mentioned, "With this understanding, Turkey will continue to support Azerbaijan, both at the negotiating table and on the battlefield."
