No Combat Operations in the Nakhichevan Section of the Border, Says Arzrun Hovhannisyan
The situation in the Nakhichevan section of the border remains relatively calm, with no combat operations reported, stated the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Arzrun Hovhannisyan, during a press conference.
He mentioned that the UAVs downed in Vardenis were reconnaissance drones, but added, "The Ministry of Defense has not officially presented the characteristics. There is an interesting aspect—among the UAVs, there are reconnaissance-strike drones. Often, it is very difficult to differentiate, so the distinctions are conditional."
He also noted that, today, alongside the ongoing negotiations in Moscow, combat operations have continued in front of his eyes without change.
As for any apparent change in Aliyev's position, the MoD representative remarked, "A statement was issued just a moment ago, and I did not see any change in position; what I saw was a demand for capitulation."
Hovhannisyan mentioned that preliminary reports indicate that today, the opponent has suffered losses of around two dozen pieces of military equipment.
