Azerbaijan's Armed Forces have opened fire on the Armenian Army base in Vardenis and have also deployed air force against positions.

This action by the adversary was preceded by misinformation from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, claiming that the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia had shelled the Dashkesan region of Azerbaijan from the Vardenis area. Thus, the adversary has apparently attempted to prepare the ground to justify its subsequent actions.
