Donald Trump's Message to Nikol Pashinyan
On the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, U.S. President Donald Trump sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“Dear Prime Minister, I am pleased to congratulate you on the occasion of your country's Independence Day on September 21. Over the past 29 years since the Republic of Armenia achieved independence, the United States has stood by the Armenian people and supported your efforts toward building modern democracy and economic development. We are ready to continue our cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including expanding bilateral trade and investment, strengthening the rule of law, promoting regional stability, and supporting your country's sovereignty.”
“The challenges of today reaffirm the importance of our partnership. The ties between the Armenian and American peoples are undeniably strong and enduring, whether it is standing together against the global COVID-19 pandemic or serving side by side in international peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan or Kosovo. On this special day, we wish you all the best and look forward to strengthening our friendship in the coming year,” added the U.S. President in his congratulatory message.
