Is Pashinyan Utilizing Statistics from the National Statistical Committee, or is it the Other Way Around? 'Fact'
The newspaper 'Fact' reports: 'In recent days, Nikol Pashinyan has resumed publishing various statistical data on his Facebook page, describing them as significant achievements. The latest report pertains to a 256% increase in the export of sheep and goats.
Some experts spoke yesterday about the fact that such figures are predominantly manipulative in nature. Specifically, some economists point out that the relevant program adopted at the end of 2019 could not possibly yield such results in such a short timeframe, meaning we are actually dealing with at least a few years of programs.
On the other hand, opinions have emerged suggesting that we are dealing with not so much the growth of the sector as with some sort of 'transit' situation. In a conversation with one of the economists, it was emphasized that before publishing such figures, it would be beneficial to study how well we are able to meet domestic consumption and how meat pricing is established, among other things.
Another expert, in a conversation with the newspaper's reporter, pointed out that Pashinyan is actively publishing statistical information, especially from the National Statistical Committee, right before its regular summary and publication. 'Sometimes it seems as if Pashinyan is not using the NSC's data, but rather the opposite,' said our interlocutor, half-serious, half-joking.'
