Belarusian Opposition Publishes Personal Data of Hundreds of Police Officers Online

The head of the Main Directorate for Personal Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, Colonel Andrei Parshin, has stated that the personal data of 300 employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been leaked online, reports eadaily.com.

“There is a certain tension today. We are witnessing the activity of destructive groups who are trying to threaten, intimidate, and insult police officers. At the same time, their personal data is being actively disseminated. Since August 9, the data of more than 300 police officers has been made available online,” he noted, adding that there have been fewer similar incidents in the last seven months than since August 9.

The general emphasized that such actions should not be turned into a spectacle, as they concern a very small percentage of the population that has the right to choose, and those behind such actions are specific groups engaged in efforts to divide the state.

It is worth reminding that protests in Belarus have not ceased since the presidential elections held on August 9, where the incumbent president Alexander Lukashenko was declared the winner. Opposition supporters take to the streets daily to contest the election results.
