Russia Will Provide Belarus with a $1.5 Billion Loan, Putin Says
Russia will allocate a state loan of $1.5 billion to Belarus. This was announced on Monday by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko, as reported by the TASS news agency.
"We have agreed that Russia will provide Belarus with a state loan of $1.5 billion at this difficult time, and we will implement this. Now, as it is known, our finance ministers are working on this at a professional level," said the Russian leader.
It is worth noting that today, a closed meeting between Putin and Lukashenko is taking place in Sochi.
