Drones of the Conditional Adversary Destroyed in Armenian-Russian Joint Exercises
Within the framework of bilateral battalion tactical exercises involving the Armed Forces of Armenia and the Southern Military District of Russia, air defense (AD) and electronic warfare (EW) personnel, along with unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) units, successfully suppressed and destroyed the reconnaissance and strike 'drones' of the conditional adversary.
This was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District of Russia, according to Artsakhpress.
EW specialists established radio jamming stations at the 'Alagyaz' training ground, conducted reconnaissance information collection and analysis, disrupted the communication systems of the conditional adversary, and developed tasks for detecting reconnaissance and strike UAVs flying at various altitudes, relaying this information to the AD units.
The 'Shilka' self-propelled anti-aircraft gun crews destroyed the simulated low-flying 'drones' of the conditional adversary from distances of up to 2.5 kilometers and altitudes of up to 1.5 kilometers.
More than 1,500 servicemen from both Russia and Armenia are participating in the bilateral tactical exercises, employing around 300 units of military and special equipment, including MiG-29, Su-30SM, Su-25 aircraft, Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters, and UAV units.
