Yerevan Has a New Deputy Mayor
Sergey Nersesyan has been appointed as the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan. This decision was made by the Yerevan City Council during today's session. Sergey Nersesyan received support from 47 members, with no votes against.
Sergey Nersesyan will be responsible for the financial block in the city hall; thus, one of the questions posed to him was about the scale of the finances he has dealt with during his professional activities. Nersesyan stated that the amounts were not insignificant. In companies where he has worked, from accountant to director, the turnover has reached up to 2 billion drams.
Members of the Yerevan City Council urged Sergey Nersesyan to be active on social networks. A question regarding the National Assembly's activities was also raised. One member of the opposition faction in the city council pointed out that Nersesyan had been an assistant to a parliamentarian who is not particularly active in his duties.
