Partially Resuming Preschool Education: Hakob Karapetyan
In the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, we are partially resuming preschool education. This was announced by the spokesperson of the Yerevan mayor, Hakob Karapetyan, on his Facebook page.
He specifically noted: “The 2020-2021 academic year will begin on September 15, and the doors of kindergartens under the jurisdiction of Yerevan will be open for children starting from that date.
As a notification:
- Each group will be filled with a maximum of 12 children who attended kindergarten in the 2019-2020 academic year.
- Priority will be given to:
- a/ children of working parents aged 5-6,
- b/ children of parents with first or second category disabilities,
- c/ children of employees of the institution in question.
- Enrollment of registered children is temporarily suspended.
Emphasizing the importance of preschool education and the desire to support families, we expect your understanding regarding the limited number of children being readmitted due to pandemic prevention considerations.
