Two New Cases of Coronavirus Confirmed in Artsakh
According to information provided by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh, two new cases of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have been confirmed in Artsakh. One of the infected individuals is from the village of Sarnaghbyur in the Askeran region, where a new outbreak has been identified.
Measures are being taken to uncover the source of the infection and to determine the circle of contacts of the patient. The second case is from the city of Stepanakert, where the infection was detected as a result of a PCR test conducted at a border checkpoint.
To date, the novel coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 304 individuals, of whom 270 have successfully recovered from the illness. Currently, 32 individuals are receiving treatment, and a total of 55 citizens are under isolation. Doctors assess the health condition of 2 patients as severe, and 6 as moderate severity.
A total of 222 samples have been taken for testing. To date, 11,661 samples have been tested.
