Director of Hrazdan Medical Center Temporarily Incapacitated Due to Health Issues: Details
The Kotayk regional administration has issued a clarification regarding the relationship between the former governor of Kotayk, Romanos Petrosyan, and the Hrazdan Medical Center.
“This morning, an article titled ‘The Conflict Between Romanos Petrosyan and the Medical Center Director Is Not Being Resolved’ was published on the Hraparak.am news website, which contains information that does not correspond to reality. In this regard, the Kotayk regional administration finds it necessary to clarify the following: The director of the Hrazdan Medical Center, Armen Hakobyan, has not been on vacation since June 26, 2020, but rather, according to the law on ‘Temporary Disability Benefits’ of the Republic of Armenia, he is temporarily incapacitated due to health issues, and his absence from work is related to this circumstance.
At the same time, we inform that the Kotayk regional administration does not condition its relationships with subordinate institutions based on individuals. Accordingly, we urge our media partners not to disseminate unverified information that has no relation to reality and to refrain from unnecessary speculations,” the statement reads.
Earlier, ‘Hraparak’ reported that the director of the Hrazdan Medical Center, Armen Hakobyan, has not been attending work since June 26. The reason is a conflict with the former governor of Kotayk, Romanos Petrosyan. Petrosyan himself had appointed Hakobyan to this position, but their relationship later deteriorated, and the former governor allegedly sent the director on leave so that he would not return from it. According to the information, he said, ‘I brought you in, I will also remove you,’ almost like Taras Bulba said to his traitorous son: ‘I gave you birth, I will also kill you.’
