Russian-Turkish Forces Conduct Joint Exercises in Syria for the First Time
For the first time, joint military exercises have taken place between Turkish and Russian armed forces in Syria. This was reported by Alexander Grinkevich, deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Conflicting Sides in Syria. As noted by Ermenihaber, the exercises involved Turkish and Russian forces working on scenarios for neutralizing sabotage groups, evacuating damaged equipment, and providing medical assistance to the injured.
Grinkevich stated that the purpose of these exercises is to ensure security in the Idlib demilitarized zone during joint patrolling operations conducted by both Russian and Turkish forces.
