Is There Another Residential Neighborhood? This Time on Veratsyan Street
The newspaper 'Pats' writes: 'The transformation of various industrial areas into residential neighborhoods in Yerevan is not a new phenomenon. Now, it seems that a new neighborhood is taking shape on Veratsyan Street (Komitas) in the area of the former shoe factory.
According to information from 'Pats', new high-rise buildings are set to be constructed in the area. Local residents told us that demolition work has already begun to make way for the residential development.
However, the construction permit map on the Yerevan city hall website does not indicate anything at that address, which logically suggests that no such permission currently exists.'
