I Will Not Disclose What Weapons We Will Use for Training: Deputy Minister of Defense
“I will not disclose what weapons we will use for training,” said Deputy Minister of Defense Gabriel Balayan during a meeting with journalists today.
In response to a question regarding potential issues with proficiency, Balayan remarked, “I don’t think that if someone learned to shoot with firearms 15-20 years ago and is an expert shot, it takes a huge investment to help them recall that skill.”
The deputy minister indicated that there are also reserve personnel who are not officially registered and include former officers aged 65-70, whose physical preparedness is in no way inferior to that of 18-year-old youths.
Gabriel Balayan also mentioned plans to involve women in the civil defense forces.
