Textbooks from the 5th Grade are Paid: This is an Additional Burden for Those Who Lost Their Jobs Due to the Pandemic, Says MP
School textbooks from the 5th grade onwards are paid for, and the funds paid by parents go to the 'Textbook Circulation Fund.' This was stated by LHK MP Anna Kostanyan.
'COVID-19 has not yet disappeared, and many citizens are still unable to restore their jobs lost due to the pandemic and ensure social stability for their families. I propose that this year, money not be collected for school textbooks from families that have been recognized as underprivileged or jobless by the Armenian government through various social programs. This is an additional burden for our citizens who are in a difficult social situation. As for how to identify these citizens, I believe the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia know the ways,' she wrote.
