New Main Rapporteur on Armenia Appointed in European Parliament
The European Parliament has informed me that a new main rapporteur on Armenia has been appointed. This was stated by Armen Ashotyan on his Facebook page.
“Instead of Romania's former president, the pro-Azeri Traian Băsescu, the position will now be held by Bulgarian MEP Andrey Kovatchev, who is from the EPP member party and has a good understanding of both Armenia and the region,” Ashotyan wrote.
