67 Patients Infected with Coronavirus Transferred from Three Institutions to Yerevan: Spokesperson
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Alina Nikoghosyan, wrote on her Facebook page: “The infectious disease hospital in Gyumri and the medical center in Spitak will now return to their normal operations, and the department of the Martuni medical center serving citizens with coronavirus will also be closed. Currently, there is a somewhat stable situation regarding coronavirus in the country, and there is no need for hospitals to operate on such a scale.
In total, 67 patients are being transferred from three institutions to Yerevan, where they will continue to receive the necessary medical assistance. After treatment, their transfer will be carried out by the Ministry of Health. I would also like to add that part of the Martuni medical center and the Gyumri infectious disease hospital will serve as a triage center (for reception, diagnosis, and transfer) if necessary. Currently, only the medical center in Kapan has a department from the regional medical centers.”
