VIDEO: Lydian Armenia Will Do Everything Possible to Restore Residents' Employment
On August 12, just two weeks after announcing the reassessment of the workforce in the communities surrounding Amulsar, Lydian Armenia received over 500 applications, most of which are from nearby communities.
Starting from August 25, Lydian Armenia has begun the first phase of interviews with the applicants in these surrounding communities.
It is essential to emphasize that under the inaction of law enforcement agencies, individuals engaging in illegal activities are regularly creating obstacles for employees' access to the Amulsar roads. The prolonged nature of these illegal activities has created an atmosphere of fear and distrust in these communities. Many residents openly express their concerns for their safety, which is why they are reluctant to speak.
Lydian Armenia is committed to doing everything within the law to restore the employment opportunities for community residents and plans to attract additional labor for the preliminary restoration works during this phase.
At the same time, we must remind law enforcement agencies that the protection of Armenian citizens' safety, life, and legal right to work is a constitutional obligation entrusted to that system. We call upon them to duly fulfill that function.
The video includes the process of accepting applications in the communities and residents' opinions regarding their right to work, the inaction of the relevant authorities, and the social situation that has developed in the communities.
