Young Armenian Killed in Moscow Shooting, Another Injured
A young man from the village of Korkh in the Akhalkalaki region was killed and another wounded in a shooting incident in the southwestern part of Moscow. The confrontation occurred last night on Akadimik Anokhin Street between the owner of a vehicle and a crew of workers.
The man accused five road workers of damaging his car while they were placing a curb and fired shots in their direction, according to Jnews.ge.
31-year-old worker G. Makaryan was injured in the thigh and was taken to the intensive care unit. The second young man, 32-year-old N. Atanyan, was wounded in the abdomen and died on the spot before the ambulance arrived.
Both young men are from Korkh village and had moved to live in the city of Belorechensk, Russia, some time ago. The shooter fled the scene. A criminal case has been initiated under three articles: 'Murder', 'Attempted murder of two or more persons', and 'Illegal acquisition, transportation, sale, possession, transfer or carrying of firearms.'
