Tihanovskaya's Office Begins Process to Form Opposition Council in Belarus
The electoral staff of Belarusian presidential candidate Svetlana Tihanovskaya has begun to form an opposition council in the country. This was announced by the press service of her staff.
"This is an expanded working group composed of individuals who enjoy authority and respect within the country. The council is expected to discuss safe and clear mechanisms for a change of power," the statement read.
Tihanovskaya announced the formation of the opposition council the day before. She also called on European countries to support starting a dialogue with the current authorities in Belarus.
