Law Enforcement in Minsk Assaults Armenian Citizen
During ongoing protests in Minsk, law enforcement officials have arrested Armenian citizen Vardan Grigoryan and taken him to a detention facility on Okrestina Street, according to nn.by.
It is reported that the individual, who was arrested amidst mass protests, claimed he did not participate in the demonstrations and was simply on the street at that moment. Grigoryan stated that he had come to Belarus seeking political asylum.
After being subjected to assault in the investigative isolation facility on Okrestina Street, the man was transferred to a hospital. Upon his discharge from the hospital, Grigoryan returned to the isolation facility to retrieve his documents. Visible marks from baton strikes can be seen on his face and back.
