Police Officer Involved in Hit-and-Run Incident with 21-Year-Old Pedestrian in Stepanavan
On August 12, a hit-and-run incident occurred in the Lori region. At around 11:00 PM, 22-year-old Arthur Vahradyan, a resident of Stepanavan, hit 21-year-old Sargis Nerkaryan, a pedestrian, with his Opel Astra in front of building 12 in the Ashotaberd district of Stepanavan, as reported by shamshyan.com.
The injured pedestrian was promptly transferred to the "Stepanavan" medical center by the emergency medical team that arrived at the scene.
According to the website, driver A. Vahradyan works in the patrol service of the Stepanavan division of the police. Following the prosecutor's directives, a team from the Lori regional investigative department of Armenia's Investigative Committee has arrived at the scene.
