Two Senior Iraqi Military Officials Killed in Turkish Drone Strike
The Iraqi Armed Forces have announced that two senior officials and their driver were killed in a Turkish drone attack.
According to Aljazeera, the incident took place in the northern part of the border, where Ankara has been reinforcing its positions in the past week and combating fighters it considers terrorists.
This marks the first incident where members of Iraq's regular forces have been killed in an attack in Northern Iraq, where Ankara operates against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
Turkey has yet to comment on the incident.
