Arsen Torosyan: I Don’t Think We Should Set a Goal to Approach Zero with Coronavirus
“As of yesterday, we have confirmed 201 new cases from 1710 tests conducted, which fits into the same trend that we have been discussing for the last few weeks. Each subsequent week, the number of daily recorded cases is approximately fifty to a hundred lower than the cases recorded on the same day of the previous week. We have a real opportunity to reduce this number,” said Arsen Torosyan, Minister of Health, during a government meeting.
According to Torosyan, the overcoming phase continues, and the rules and efforts are yielding results. “Of course, I don’t think we should set a goal to approach zero. Maintaining the number within the range of 50-100 should also be acceptable for us, as it will be very difficult to reach zero by only adhering to the rules,” he added.
