UAZ Collides with Parked Kamaz in Kapan; Driver Hospitalized

On August 10, at 01:11 AM, the National Crisis Management Center received a report of a traffic accident in the Syunik district involving two vehicles, with one person injured.

A firefighting and rescue unit from the Syunik provincial rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was discovered that on the 6th kilometer of the Kapan-Syunik section of the M-2 highway, a UAZ vehicle (driven by Edgar S., born in 1983) collided with a parked Kamaz vehicle (the driver was not present at the scene).

Before the rescue teams arrived, the driver of the UAZ was taken to the Kapan medical center, where doctors assessed his condition as moderately severe. Rescuers disabled the vehicle and closed the gas tank valve.
