Nearly 30 Recruits Diagnosed with Coronavirus
Since the commencement of the military conscription on July 1, nearly 30 recruits have been diagnosed with coronavirus in Armenia. Spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Shushan Stepanyan, stated this to PanARMENIAN.Net.
She informed that the recruits have been isolated and are receiving appropriate treatment; after recovery, they will rejoin the armed forces. Already, 13 recruits have recovered.
The conscription process started in May, but recruits are being sent to military units in July and August. They undergo testing with rapid antibody tests before participating in the draft lottery.
Those recruits who test positive for antibodies are also tested using PCR tests.
