Police Officer Hits Three People with Nissan Fuga After Car Accident in Kotayk: One Dead, Two Injured
A tragic incident occurred in the Kotayk region on July 26. Around 23:10, a collision took place at the intersection of the Kaghsi-Solak highway between a VAZ 2107 vehicle, driven by 36-year-old Hovik Khachaturyan from Kaghsi village, and a Nissan Murano vehicle, driven by 37-year-old Hrayr Azizbekyan from Yerevan, as reported by shamshyan.com.
According to the site, there were no injuries from the initial accident. After documenting it, the traffic police and insurance agent left the scene, and while the drivers attempted to remove their vehicles, 62-year-old Samvel Khachaturyan from Hrazdan, driving a Nissan Fuga, hit Hrayr Azizbekyan, who was standing between the vehicles. Azizbekyan died at the scene, while two Kaghsi village residents, 56-year-old Henrikh Vardanyan and 40-year-old Armen Vardanyan, received immediate first aid from the medical team that arrived shortly afterward and were subsequently transported to the Hrazdan Medical Center.
According to the website, Samvel Khachaturyan works in the paramilitary unit of the Kotayk Division of the General Department of Presidential Protection of the Police of the Republic of Armenia. By the order of the investigator, the vehicles have been moved to the secured area of the Hrazdan division of the police.
