The working group responsible for developing the standards and programs for the subjects of Armenian Language and Literature in public education has announced that Medieval and Golden Age Armenian literature has been included in the educational curriculum.
Beginning from the 5th grade, students will study the works of historians such as Movses Khorenatsi, Agatangeghos, Pavstos Buzandak, Yeghishe, and Ghazar Parpetsi, as well as the fables of various fabulists. The curriculum also includes medieval authors such as Grigor Narekatsi, Nerses Shnorhali, Nahapet Kuchak, and Sayat Nova.
The group continues to work on refining the program, discussing all suggestions and feedback from the public. A complete list of literature will be presented after revisions following public discussions.
