Hrazdan: Citizen Discovers Captive Eagle Owl
On July 22, 2020, employees of the Kotayk Territorial Division of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body discovered an eagle owl that had been kept captive by a citizen in one of the gardens of the Makravan neighborhood of Hrazdan city, Kotayk province.
According to the citizen's statement, they found the bird in their former dilapidated barn two or three days prior. The eagle owl, kept in captivity, was transferred to the specialized rehabilitation facility 'ZOO Fauna Art' LLC by the head and employees of the Kotayk Territorial Division.
The Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body reports that the eagle owl will be released back into the wild after rehabilitation, based on a relevant professional assessment.
