This Morning I Received Two Bad News: Alen Simonian

We often do not feel or understand a lot. This is not an accusation at all. This morning, I received two bad news: my friend's mother and my childhood friend are in a very critical condition in the hospital. This is what the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonian wrote on his Facebook page.

“I visited them. In that large hospital building, everyone was very disciplined, and everyone’s masks were properly worn—no one had them lowered under their nose or tied around their arm. There was even a person wearing two medical masks. No one seemed to be sweating from their masks; there were no police looking for trouble or taking photos with their phones in the yard. They understood what is happening, where they are, and that the danger is very close to them.

My friend's mother is over 60, her condition is critically stable. My friend's situation is much more severe; he is only 40 years old, we are of the same age, he has no chronic illnesses and does not even smoke, yet now doctors are fighting for his life.

Why does pain have to stand at our doorstep before we realize the elementary things?
