Famed Broadcaster Alexander Belyaev Passes Away

Geographical Sciences candidate and renowned television presenter Alexander Belyaev, known for his weather forecasts on NTV channel, has passed away in the intensive care unit. His assistant reported the news to the '360' television channel.

In recent years, Belyaev battled cancer. In 2011, he was diagnosed with lung cancer, a fact he revealed in July 2017. From the fall of that year until February 2018, he suspended his television work to receive treatment at the Blokhin Cancer Research Center.

Alexander Belyaev was born on January 5, 1949, in Moscow. He graduated from Moscow State University’s Faculty of Geography in 1972 and worked at NTV since March 1998.
