Abnormal High Temperature Expected in Armenia
From July 19 to 21, abnormal high temperatures are anticipated in the Ararat and Armavir regions, on the foothills of Aragats, in the Syunik valleys, and in Yerevan. During the daytime, the air temperature is expected to reach +39 to +41 degrees Celsius.
On these days, a high fire hazard situation is also expected in the valley and foothill areas of the republic. In the territory of the republic, dry weather is anticipated during the day on July 19 and 20. After noon on July 21 in the northern regions, and from July 22 to 24, rain and thunderstorms are expected in significant parts of the regions, with wind intensification of 20-25 m/s during thunderstorms. Hail is also expected in some areas.
The wind is forecasted to be south-western at 3-8 m/s. The air temperature will gradually rise by 3-5 degrees on July 19-20, and decrease by 8-10 degrees on July 22-23. In Yerevan, dry weather is expected on July 19 during the day and on 20-21, while rain and thunderstorms are anticipated from July 22 to 24, with wind intensification of 17-20 m/s during thunderstorms.
