What Weather is Expected in the Coming Days
From July 19-21, an anomalously high thermal background is expected in the Ararat and Armavir regions, in the foothills of Aragatsotn, in the valleys of Syunik, and in Yerevan, where daytime temperatures are set to reach +38…+40 degrees Celsius. During these days, a high fire risk situation is anticipated in the arid and foothill areas of the republic. The intensity of ultraviolet radiation is expected to be above normal. It is recommended to avoid direct sunlight from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Across the republic, on the afternoon of July 16, and in some areas on the 17th and 18th, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected, with wind gusts of 20-25 m/s during thunderstorms. Hail is also anticipated in some places. From July 19-21, weather without precipitation is expected. Winds will be south-west at 3-8 m/s. The temperature will gradually increase by 5-7 degrees from July 18-20.
In Yerevan, weather without precipitation is forecasted for the afternoon of July 16, and from July 17-21.
