Investigations Launched into Azerbaijani Armed Forces’ Violations
The President of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Hayk Grigoryan, has visited the Tavush region to oversee investigations into breaches of the ceasefire by the Azerbaijani armed forces. The committee aims to examine violations of the Geneva Conventions and international humanitarian law.
Following reports of heavy artillery and mortar fire directed at civilian populations, 30 criminal cases have been initiated by the Investigative Committee regarding these breaches, which included gross violations of the ceasefire. Grigoryan conducted site examinations in Berd city, as well as the villages of Chinari and Aygepar.
Under Grigoryan’s guidance, inspections of the incident sites were carried out, and specific instructions were provided to the personnel of the 6th garrison investigative department of the Military Investigative Main Department and the Tavush regional investigative division.
