Armenian Delegation in Belarus
The Armenian delegation's plane has already landed in the Republic of Belarus. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the delegation members are set to participate in both the narrow and expanded sessions of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
This was reported by SHANTNEWS.am. The Armenian Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with the President of Belarus. The meetings and the meeting will take place tomorrow.
As part of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting, the signing of documents is also planned, as well as a statement for media representatives. The presidents of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Commission, Mikhail Myasnikovich, and the Prime Minister of Belarus are set to address the statement.
It is worth noting that the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council is the first to be organized in person during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is known that a state of emergency has not even been declared in Belarus, and more recently, there has been discussion about overcoming the pandemic.
As a result, guests in this country are welcomed and expected without the mandatory requirement of wearing medical masks and gloves. The Armenian delegation was guided by the host's wishes at the Belarusian airport, based on assurances regarding the efforts being made by the Belarusian side to combat the spread of the virus.
Nevertheless, wearing medical masks is not prohibited in Belarus. Moreover, according to the plan, when the Armenian delegation returns to Yerevan, all members of the delegation will be tested again before leaving the territory of the Zvartnots Airport.
