No Need to Appeal to CSTO Yet: Artur Hovhannisyan
Armenia does not see the necessity to appeal to the CSTO regarding the situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, as of today, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia are fully carrying out their assigned tasks, stated military expert and head of the Media Crisis Center Artur Hovhannisyan during a press briefing.
“The Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia are fully capable of accomplishing their tasks, the existing conflict is not at a level that requires Armenia to see an urgency in appealing to the CSTO for intervention. We are fully controlling the situation,” he noted.
It is worth mentioning that on July 14, the CSTO secretariat issued a statement concerning the situation created at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on July 12, 2020. This information was provided by the CSTO press service.
