I Refused to Accept the Administrative Proceeding Notification, Says Director of 5th Channel
The head of the 5th Channel, Harutyun Harutyunyan, announced on his Facebook page that he has declined to sign and accept the notification for opening an administrative proceeding.
'The police had come as 'guests' to the 5th Channel. We welcomed them honorably and had a light debate because they, unfortunately (no, not they, the chief), did not understand the differences between office space and a studio. I explained in detail that the room where we are seated is an office area, while the studio where the filming takes place is production space. I don't know if they will have the will to explain this simple truth to the chief, but I also demanded that we measure and document that the distance between the guest and the interviewer is 2 meters and 80 centimeters. So, here too, social distancing is maintained, and I consider the imposition of opening an administrative proceeding to be an illegal action.
In the second studio, only the commentator is working, and there is no issue of maintaining social distance here either. I repeat, the chief must understand that a studio is not an office space and if we are producing content from that studio, it means it is production space. I have refused to sign and accept the notification for opening an administrative proceeding. If there are any questions, we will contest them in court, and if we encounter those heart-wrenching 'Armen-Daniel type' judges, we will go to the European Court.'
