Intensified Inspections by AATC in Malatia-Sebastia Administrative District

The intensified inspections by the Health and Labor Inspection Body took place today in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan. Although there has been a trend of decreasing violations among operators in recent days, today's inspections recorded violations and shortcomings in several locations of this administrative district, according to the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

Employees of the AATC noted a lack of adequate thermometers, absence of personal disinfectants, and a hand-drying system. There were no paper towels and/or drying devices available in restrooms; instead, a cloth towel was provided for drying hands, which poses a potential source of infection transmission.

The AATC staff also drew operators' attention to an important point that is often violated: during the disinfection process, 96% alcohol is used, diluted with water, which is unacceptable. According to the decision number 63 of the Prime Minister of Armenia, a disinfectant solution of 60-80% should be used for disinfection purposes.

During today's monitoring, certain other violations were recorded, including cases of failure to register data related to employee health in the prescribed manner in the thermometer and registration logs, which were commonly noted on previous days.

Based on the recorded violations, temporary suspension motions will be presented to the Prime Minister for certain operators. Amid the state of emergency due to the pandemic, monitoring and control by the Health and Labor Inspection Body are conducted daily across the entire republic.

The AATC once again informs that compliance with anti-epidemic rules is mandatory for everyone. Failure to comply will result in accountability measures.
