Sipan Pashinyan Sues Mikael Minasian Demanding Retraction and 2 Million AMD Compensation
Member of the National Assembly from the "My Step" faction, Sipan Pashinyan, has filed a lawsuit against Mikael Minasian, son-in-law of former President Serzh Sargsyan. This information has been obtained from the Judicial Information System.
The MP demands a public retraction of statements that constitute defamation, as well as compensation for damages caused to his honor, dignity, and business reputation. This was reported by the "Haykakan Zhamanak" newspaper.
The lawsuit was filed on June 5 and has been assigned to Judge Hovik Shahbazyan of the Yerevan City Court of General Jurisdiction.
Sipan Pashinyan's representative, Lilit Yenokyan, stated in an interview with the media that the reason for the lawsuit is a video titled "Populism and Theft: The State Oligarch and a Smuggled Cigarette Plane" published by Minasian. Yenokyan noted that Minasian is also being asked for 2 million AMD in compensation.
