Prime Minister Ridicules Citizens' Personal Data Protection Issues: Ani Samsonyan

Member of Parliament from the 'Bright Armenia' faction, Ani Samsonyan, wrote on her Facebook page: 'During today's government meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan suggested allowing citizens to photograph individuals in vehicles without masks and document violations. The Prime Minister noted that if a citizen is concerned about their personal data protection, they can wear a mask, making it difficult to identify them.

In essence, the Prime Minister is ridiculing the issue of citizens' personal data protection, conditioned on the factor of wearing a mask. This is a proposal that grossly violates a person’s right to privacy and demonstrates an open disrespect for that right. It is also fraught with dangerous consequences in terms of civil harmony. In a context of widespread hatred and intolerance, exacerbated by socio-economic issues, imagine what might happen when people start photographing each other in their cars. It's better not to imagine.'
