Hayk Esayan and his brother Aleksandr Esayan summoned by NSS

The newspaper "Zhroghrout" reports: "It has become known to the "Zhroghrout" daily that Hayk Esayan, the former director of the "Ucom" company, and his brother Aleksandr Esayan have been summoned by the National Security Service (NSS). The Esayan brothers spent quite a long time at the investigative department, where they answered the investigators' questions for about 6 hours.

It has come to our attention that the main respondent was Aleksandr Esayan, who has been a key manager of Khachatryan's affairs for many years. Aleksandr Esayan was responsible for formulating and implementing the participation in state tenders related to digitization, facilitating their execution through a programming company in which the Esayans hold a 50% stake, with the other 50% held by the Khachatryans.

Notably, investigators were particularly interested in the origin of the Esayan brothers' wealth, as the brothers own or co-own several businesses, including cafes, alcohol beverages, a business center, a programming company, and more. Our sources do not exclude the possibility that the Esayans may face charges for participating in particularly large-scale theft and concealing the criminal origin of assets acquired with misappropriated state funds.

We will address the NSS regarding the authenticity of the interrogation and will publish the official response as soon as it is received.
