Accident Involving ‘Mercedes-Benz E220’ and ‘BMW’ on Khanjyan Street Ends in Fire

At 22:01 on June 5, the National Crisis Management Center received a report about a car fire near the town of Meghri. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia has published this information.

A firefighting unit from the Syunik Regional Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene. It was revealed that a ‘Mercedes-Benz E220’ and a ‘BMW’ collided at the end of Khanjyan Street, resulting in the ‘Mercedes-Benz E220’ catching fire. Fortunately, there were no injuries.

The fire was contained by 22:20 and extinguished by 22:23. The vehicle was completely burned. Rescuers disconnected the power to the vehicles and closed the valves of the gas cylinders.
