Citizen Consumed 'B 58' Believing He Would Be Arrested by Investigator

According to Shamshyan.com, a suicide attempt occurred in the Ararat region on June 3rd.

At around 13:30, the Artashat Emergency Medical Center alerted the Artashat police department that a citizen had been transported to the hospital by the duty medical team in front of the Ararat Regional Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

The police determined that the individual was 39-year-old Hovhannes A., a resident of the Ararat region. He reportedly consumed agricultural pesticides in front of the Ararat Regional Investigation Department located at 15/1 Marx Street in Artashat, intending to commit suicide. He was summoned to the investigation department and consumed 'B 58' thinking that the investigator would arrest him.

Materials are being prepared at the investigative department of the Artashat police regarding the incident. Hovhannes A. is charged under the first part of Article 34-238 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
