Patrol Police to Be Established: National Assembly Approved the Bill in Second Reading
The National Assembly has fully approved the bills on amendments and supplements to the laws "On the Police" and "On Service in the Police" in the second reading. The bills pertain to the establishment of a patrol police force that will have extensive powers.
"Today, in a number of conflictual disputes, the police are unable to intervene and suggest referring to the court, the process of which is so lengthy that no one chooses to go through it," said Armen Khachatryan, a member of the permanent commission on defense and security matters, while discussing the bill.
